Herman Miller Japan Inc. (address: Tokyo Design Center, 5th Floor, 5-25-19 Higashi-Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku), a Japanese corporate branch of US furniture maker Herman Miller Inc. (headquarters: Michigan, USA, President and CEO: Brian Walker), announces that Julian Hargreaves has become the new President as of September 1, 2006.

Julian Hargreaves, the new President, is a 42-year-old British man born in 1964 who graduated from Leeds University. Since joining Herman Miller International (UK) in 1991, he has held the positions of Export Sales Manager for Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and Ireland in 1996, Market Manager for the Middle East, India and Africa in 1997, and Asia Pacific Regional Manager in 2004.
In each market, he achieved substantial sales increases by developing businesses, building dealer networks and acquiring global projects. And now, as of September 1, 2006, he is the new President of Herman Miller Japan Inc.
